Infertility TreatmentsDRUG THERAPIES -Drug therapies are the first treatment choice for infertility. Medications such as clomiphene can be used to help women who ovulate infrequently or not at all. Drug therapies are used to treat Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), the most frequent cause of female infertility. SURGICAL TREATMENTS In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) - extracting a woman's eggs, fertilizing the eggs in the laboratory, and then transferring the resulting embryo(s) into the woman's uterus through the cervix. IVF with Blastocyst - allowing fertilized embryos to mature an extra two or three days in the laboratory to increase the chance of pregnancy and decrease multiple births IVF with ICSI - injecting the male partner’s sperm into the female partner’s eggs in cases of poor quality sperm Egg Donor Recipient - IVF using eggs from an anonymous or known donor Sperm Donor Recipient - IVF using sperm from an anonymous donor Corrective Surgeries - surgical procedures to correct structural defects in the uterus and fallopian tubes, to remove scar tissue, fibroid cysts, or endometriosis Tubal Reanastomosis - a surgical procedure to reverse tubal ligation (tubal reversal/tubal reanastomosis) Insemination - injecting sperm directly into a woman’s uterus at the time of ovulation Surrogacy Solutions - implanting a fertilized egg into a surrogate’s uterus
